French Ligue One giants, Paris St-Germain, have parted ways with their German coach, Thomas Tuchel, after two-and-a-half years with the club. Tuchel who took over the Paris-based club in 2018 was close to gifting them their first ever UEFA Champions League title last season, but a 1-0 loss to German Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich, in the final meant PSG have to wait a little longer for European glory.
Tuchel’s sack comes after Wednesday’s (December 23) comfortable 4-0 win over Strasbourg. PSG currently sit third on the league table, just one point behind leaders Lyon, and second-placed Lille. Tuchel, 47, took over reigns from Unai Emery in June 2018, won two league titles, the French Cup, and the French League Cup.
