Donald Trump returns to the White House after beating Kamala Harris at the polls.
Donald Trump has been declared the winner of the 2024 US presidential election after winning more than the required 270 electoral college votes.
The Associated Press called in the race after Trump won the ten Electoral College votes in Wisconsin to take his tally to 277 and defeat Kamala Harris, whose Electoral College votes currently stand at 224.
Earlier on Wednesday, a confident Donald Trump addressed supporters from his Palm Beach County Convention Center in Florida and said that “America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate.”

So far, Trump has won key battleground states such as Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, and Wisconsin and is leading the popular vote too.
Trump’s Republican Party is also projected to win the majority in the Senate, which will give his presidency great ease to push out policies.
Kamala Harris, 60, is yet to accept defeat and is expected to address her supporters later on Wednesday.
Trump urged supporters to unite, look aside the past four years, and focus on the country’s future.
He vowed to Americas that “I will not let you down. America’s future will be bigger.”
Trump also called his win a “massive victory for democracy and for freedom.”
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu led the line of world leaders who have congratulated Trump and said that his “historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hailed Trump for his victory and said that he hopes the victory will bring “just peace in Ukraine close.” Trump returns to the White House as the 47th President of the United States after loosing his reelection bid in 2020 to Joe Biden.
