Kamala Harris said Trump wants to be like Adolf Hitler in America.
Kamala Harris hit out at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, describing him as another “Adolf Hitler” if elected for a second term in office as the President of the United States.
The US Vice President made strong verbal attacks on Trump outside her home at the US Naval Observatory on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
Harris cited former Trump’s chief of staff, John Kelly, who said in an interview with the New York Times that the former president often spoke admirably of the former German leader during his time at the White House.

Kelly served as a Trump staffer from 2017 to 2019 and described the former president as a “definition of fascist” without understanding of American history and constitution.
The 74-year-old also told the New York Times that Trump once hailed Hitler for doing “some good things” and rebuilding the German “economy.”
Kelly continued with his attack on Trump on Tuesday by telling The Atlantic that the former American leader wanted his staff to be like “German generals in World War II” because of their loyalty to Hitler.
“It is deeply troubling and incredibly dangerous that Donald Trump would invoke Adolf Hitler—the man who is responsible for the deaths of 6 million Jews,” Kamala Harris said in a three-minute plea to voters.
“Donald Trump is increasingly unhinged and unstable, and, in a second term, people like John Kelly would not be there to be the guardrails against his propensities and his actions,” she continued.
“So the bottom line is this: we know what Donald Trump wants. He wants unchecked power. The question in 13 days will be, What do the American people want?”
The American presidential election will be held on November 5, 2024.
The contest for the White House is expected to be a tight race.
