Olamide during an interview on Apple Music Africa reminisced on his early years in the Nigerian music industry, and revealed that his collaboration with Wizkid who was then signed to Banky W’s label, helped him pull through after leaving Coded Tunes record label.
The ‘Story For The Gods’ crooner revealed that his collaboration with Wizkid gave him an edge and made things easier in the entertainment industry during his early years. It will be recalled that both artistes recorded the hit single “Omo Toh Shan’’ shortly after Olamide left Coded Tunes.
Wizkid and Olamide have remained in good terms in a career that have lasted for over a decade. The pair are among Africa’s finest artists and have thrilled the globe with their sounds. Olamide and Wizkid are multi-award winning stars and have been responsible for the rise of some upcoming artists in Nigeria through collaborations.
