Popular Nollywood actor and aspiring Nigerian Presidential candidate, Yul Edochie, has gifted a die-hard fan the sum of one hundred thousand naira (N100,000) for mimicking his dynamic style of speaking.
The actor on Sunday, January 16, shared a video via his Instagram handle, showing a visually impaired man identified as ‘Daniel Eze’ mimicking his baritone voice in a manner that one would have mistaken them for each other.
Edochie, who was fascinated by Eze’s performance, took to social media to celebrate the fan and promised to reward him with one hundred thousand naira for an exceptional display of raw talent and skill.
The thespian also called on his fans to participate in the trending challenge by tagging him in their videos, perhaps they could also win a prize.
“A blind fan of mine who mimicked my voice. He’ll get 100k today as soon as I receive his name and account details. You can post your videos on your page then tag me. I want to see stronger performances. Good luck,” Yul Edochie posted.
In another video posted, Eze was seen saying he has received the cash gift from the actor.
Yul Edochie is a Nigerian actor named after the famous Russian actor ‘Yul Brynner’. He is the son of veteran Nigerian actor, Pete Edochie. He hails from Anambra state. Recently, the Nollwood actor publicly declared his intention to contest for the seat of the presidency in the forthcoming 2023 general election, pledging “to wipe the tears of the masses and establish real peace, unity and progress” if he emerges president.
