Ex-Nigerian international and former coach of the Nigerian national team, Sunday Oliseh, has expressed his desire to return to coaching after a three-year absence. In 2016, Oliseh quit his role as Super Eagles coach before taking up the coaching job at Fortuna Sittard in 2017, but also quit the job in 2018 over issues with the club’s management.
After three years off the picture, Oliseh is willing to return to the sidelines, but with a Belgian club in other to remain with his family. Oliseh since retirement has been living in Belgium where he started his career with his family.
I would like to start working in Belgium, because together with my family we have a very good time here. It’s important to me that I can come home after the match and that my family is there. I don’t feel like going abroad and leaving them behind. There are offers from abroad, but I want to work close to where I live. In the past I was close to an agreement with Waasland-Beveren, but that fell through. First Division B? I have already proved in the past that I do not shy away from that, because I was already working at Fortuna Sittard
