Both crashes recorded no survivors as Americans panicked.
The American public is panicking, and some have expressed their fear to fly after two deadly plane crashes claimed the lives of 73 in three days.
On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, an American Airlines flight carrying 67 persons onboard crashed during a midair collision with a US military helicopter in Washington, DC.
Both planes crashed into the Potomac River in Washington, D. C.
Despite first responders reacting very quickly, they were unable to record any survivors from the tragic event.
President Donald Trump made a public statement and condoled with family members as his administration vowed to ensure the country does not witness such a tragic event again.
However, a second plane crash on Friday, January 31, 2025, would cause more panic among Americans after a Jet Rescue Air Ambulance carrying a young patient who had received life-saving treatment and her mother crashed in a heavily populated area in Philadelphia, killing all six people on board.
According to the airline company, the plane was carrying the girl and her mother from Northeast Philadelphia Airport to Springfield Branson National Airport in Missouri, as they were on their way back to Tijuana, Mexico.

It is rare for such tragic events to happen in the US, especially within the space of three days, and residents have expressed their fears.
John Fred, a resident of Washington, lamented the crashes and urged authorities to take necessary action to ensure it never happens again.
“You can easily feel the fear and panic among citizens; it’s like the airspace is not secured anymore,” Fred told Lionscrib.
“This crash is happening barely two days after the first one, and the government has to do something about it.”
Kimberly Brown, a resident of Florida, also expressed her fears during a mobile chat with Lionscrib.
She stated that “these events make you think your flight is going to crash when you get on it.”
President Trump’s administration has assured citizens of their safety as efforts continue to make traveling safe.
