Tuface confirmed his separation from Annie Idibia in a series of posts on his Instagram page, which has been deleted.
Legendary singer Tuface has announced that he has filed for divorce with his wife, Annie Idibia.
Tuface and Annie, who is a popular Nollywood actor, have been legally married for 12 years, but the singer says both parties have “been separated for a while now and currently filed for divorce.”
The “African Queen” singer also said that he “would grant a press release soon to say my story.”
Tuface revealed that his decision to grant a press release is “not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life, but because I love my people and I need them to know my innocence or offense.”
Shortly after Tuface made the post on Instagram, another post on his page said his account was hacked, but the award-winning singer refuted the claims in a video post, insisting that he made the post.

The post generated reactions from some notable media personalities, such as Toke Makinwa, who blasted the singer’s decision to go public with the issue, noting that it “is wrong on all levels and you should be ashamed of yourself for bringing this here.”
“Bring it on; if you think she’s alone, let me tell you here that you’ll have to fight all of us,” Makinwa vowed.
She also berated women who have chosen to “sit on the fence on this one; if it misses you, it’ll touch your daughter or any female in your family.”
Filmmaker Marry Remmy Njoku also called out Tuface for choosing to go public with his marital crisis and warned that “when the time comes, we’ll have plenty of questions for you.”
Annie Idibia is yet to make a public statement on the issue.
