Trump said America has greatly declined in the last four years and pledged to return it to glory.
President Donald Trump has vowed to save America from what he describes as years of decline after he was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on Monday.
Trump said his return to the White House signals the “golden age of America” and added that the country will “flourish and be respected” under his watch.
He recalled the assassination attempts on his life during the presidential election campaigns and said he “was saved by God to make America great again.”
“Many people thought it was impossible for me to stage such a historic political comeback,” Trump added.
“I stand before you now as proof that you should never believe that something is impossible to do in America. The impossible is what we do best.”

Trump also talked about a number of executive orders he intends to sign immediately on Monday, including the declaration of a national emergency at the US-Mexico border and sending troops there.
“First, I will declare a national emergency at our southern border,” Trump vowed.
“All illegal entry will be immediately halted, and we will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came.”
In a big blow to the LGBTQ community, Trump said his government will only recognize the male and female genders in America.
“As of today, it will henceforth be the policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female,” he said to applause from supporters at the rotunda.
Trump is expected to sign at least 200 executive orders in his first day in office as he promises a radical shift from Joe Biden’s policies.
