Tiwa Savage believes it is safer to swim with sharks than to deal with her colleagues in the Nigerian music industry.
Tiwa Savage has advised her fans to worry less about her decision to swim with sharks and worry more about her dealings with colleagues in the music industry, who she says are more “dangerous” than sharks.
The “All Over” singer shared a post on Instagram on Tuesday that showed her swimming with sharks in the ocean while wearing scuba gear.
In the post, Tiwa Savage shared her excitement and disclosed that it was a feat on her bucket list.
While the singer shared her excitement, her fans worried about her safety, and in a swift reaction, the multi-award-winning artist noted, “Everyone worried about me swimming with the sharks, but the ones in this music industry are way more fucking dangerous.”
Her reaction might not be so shocking as she has come under heavy personal attack in the past, such as refusing to give in to blackmail that saw her sex tape leaked in October 2021.

Tiwa Savage also hinted at the possibility of having someone in the Nigerian music industry who is exploitative during an interview with Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, in October 2024.
She voiced her opinion on the issue when quizzed on the alleged involvement of American music executive Sean Combs, aka Diddy, in sex trafficking.
“I think Nigerian music might have our own Diddy moment,” the “Somebody Son” crooner said.
