Mohammed Salah said it’s his last six months with the former European champions until his contract renewal situation improves.
Mohammed Salah has revealed that he is set to leave Liverpool by June 2025 if his contract renewal situation with the club does not change.
During an interview with Sky News, Salah said, “So far? Yes, it’s the last six months,” when asked if it was his final season with the six-time European champions.
“There is no progress there; we’re far away from any progress, so we just need to wait and see,” Salah said.
When quizzed on his plans for his final season with the club, Salah said he hopes to win the English Premier League title.
“I want to win the Premier League with Liverpool,” the Egyptian national team captain said.
“It’s my last year in the club, so you want to do something special for the city.”
Salah, 32, joined Liverpool in 2017 from AS Roma and won the UEFA Champions League in 2019.
In 2020, Salah and his teammates ended Liverpool’s 30-year wait for the English Premier League title by becoming champions.
He has also won the FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup, and a few other titles for the club in eight years.
