The Commonwealth Foundation Grant is targeted at civil society organizations focused on creating lasting impacts in their societies.
As part of initiatives aimed at supporting civil society groups who play a key role in the policy development and implementation in Commonwealth member states, the Commonwealth Foundation is inviting applications for its 2025 $30,000 grant program.
Interested civil society organizations must demonstrate a strong willingness to bridge the engagement gap between civil organizations and policymakers.
The program is a unique opportunity for civil society organizations to make meaningful and impactful changes in society.
According to the Commonwealth Foundation, the grant supports civil society organizations with a keen focus in the areas:
Health Justice
Freedom of Expression
Climate Justice.

To qualify for the program:
The applicant must be a not-for-profit civil society organization legally registered in a Commonwealth member state.
The civil society organization must have been experienced for at least three years in participatory governance and advocacy.
The civil society organization must address one of the themes of the program.
No IELTS required.
Proposed projects are expected to commence between August 1, 2025, and September 30, 2025.
Applications for the program end on October 24, 2024.
