Trump and Harris will square off on the ABC News network.
Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris have both agreed to a US presidential debate on September 10, 2024, according to US television network ABC.
ABC is set to organize the debate after doubts surrounded the possibility due to former President Trump’s initial refusal to participate in a debate organized by ABC.

Trump was previously adamant about debating Vice President Kamala Harris on ABC due to his litigation against them, but all seems to be settled as the media franchise announced in a statement that both candidates are now willing to face off on its network.
“ABC News will host qualifying presidential candidates to debate on September 10 on ABC. Vice President Harris and former President Trump have both confirmed they will attend the ABC debate,” ABC said in a statement.
Trump also admitted to agreeing to debate against Harris during a news conference at his Florida Mar-a-Lago resort, noting that he was “looking forward” to debating against the Democratic candidate, who has her eyes set on becoming the first woman to be elected American president.
“I think it’s very important to have debates, and we’ve agreed with Fox on a date of September 4. We’ve agreed with NBC. Fairly full agreement subject to them on September 10. And we’ve agreed with ABC on September 25,” Trump said.
“The other side has to agree to the terms. They may or may not agree. I don’t know if they’re going to agree. Harris hasn’t done an interview. She can’t do an interview. She’s barely competent, and she can’t do an interview, I look forward to the debates because I think we have to set the record straight.”
Harris previously called out Trump for refusing to debate against her but has yet to make a statement regarding the new development.
