Trump said a bullet pierced the upper part of his right ear.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was shot and injured by a gunman who opened fire atop a roof in Butler, Pennsylvania, during a campaign rally.
Footage showed Trump raise his right hand to his ear before ducking as a series of shots were heard during the campaign.
Secret Service agents quickly covered Trump, and the gunman was shot to death before the former American president, who was raising his arm in strength for supporters, was rushed off the stage.
The Republican presidential candidate said the “upper part” of his right ear was pierced by a bullet in a post on his Truth Social network. He also hailed the Secret Service and left the hospital after receiving treatment.

A bystander was killed during the shooting, and two other people were injured. All the victims were adult males, according to the authorities.
“I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the rally who was killed and also to the family of another person that was badly injured,” Trump said.
The FBI said the attack was an assassination attempt on the former President of the United States and noted that DNA is being conducted on the corpse of the gunman to get his identity.
President Joe Biden has condemned the attack and described it as “sick.” He added that there is “no place in America for this kind of violence.” Biden has also spoken to Trump.
Vice President Kamala Harris also condemned the attack and said that “violence such as this has no place in our nation.”
Former US President Barack Obama also condemned the attack on Trump, who succeeded him in office.
“There is absolutely no place for political violence in our democracy,” Obama said in a post on X.
“Although we don’t yet know exactly what happened, we should all be relieved that former President Trump wasn’t seriously hurt and use this moment to recommit ourselves to civility and respect in our politics. Michelle and I are wishing him a quick recovery.”
Trump is expected to make a public appearance and address the shooting when he is fully fit.
