Superstar Afrobeats singer Davido has said that he will be retiring from music after his next album.
The “Unavailable” crooner made his announcement in a post on X while reacting to a doctored video made to give him a negative projection in public.
“Yall niggas really want me out the game that bad ?? Oya after next album I no do again . So una fit get peace,” the multi-award-winning singer posted on Thursday.
Davido has been involved in a lot of rifts with other A-list artists, such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Tiwa Savage.
He was recently called out by the producer of his hit song “Fem” over alleged unpaid royalties.

Davido appeared to have settled his rift with long-time rival Wizkid after both artists confirmed that they would be going on tour together in January 2023.
The tour is yet to happen, but they seem to be at loggerheads again after trading words with each other on social media.
Davido is one of the biggest stars in the global entertainment industry and has tagged himself as the “King of Afrobeats.”
He has won several awards, such as the BET and Headies, among others.
Davido was nominated by the Grammys for the first time in 2023 in four different categories, but did not win any of the categories.
He rose to prominence in 2012 with the hit song “Dami Duro” and has gone on to make more hit songs such as “If,” “Skelewu,” “Gobe,” “Risky,” and more.
The singer established his record label, DMW, in 2016, which has produced stars like Mayorkun, Dremo, Peruzzi, and a few others.
