Selena Gomez has never hidden her admiration for Afrobeats singer Rema, leading to speculations that she is dating the “Calm Down” crooner, but the latest development shows that her relationship with the Mavins singer is professional.

The American singer appears to have confirmed that she is in a relationship with producer Benny Blanco, who produced her latest single, “Single Soon.’’

On December 7, a fan account posted a black-and-white picture of Selena and Blanco cozying up, which she took to the comments section. In one comment, the former Disney star said, “He is my absolute everything in my heart,’’ before replying to another fan, “then why has he been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. The end.”

To another fan, the singer replied, “lol yeah and he’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Facts.”

Selena fired back at another fan: “I don’t understand. If you actually care about me. This is my happiest. If you don’t feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never allow your words to guide my life. Ever. I’m done. If you can’t accept me at my happiest then don’t be in my life at all.”

Recall that during a recent interview with SiriusXM Hits 1 LA with Tony Fly and Symon, the singer talked about enjoying life alone and revealed that her new music will be focused on feeling good.

“I think everybody goes through the phase of, ‘Oh, it’d be nice to like have someone,’ and I get that,” Selena said.

“But you know, I’m just enjoying where I’m at, and I just want to be happy with who I am so that whenever that person comes into my life, I can just have them add on to me instead of being this insecure, you know, person that I normally used to be.”
