Odoi believes he will be recalled to the Three Lions.
Football star, Callum Hudson-Odoi, snubbed the chance of featuring for Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, and prefers to fight for a place in the English national team which offers him a little chance at international football currently.
The Chelsea FC winger who is currently on loan at German Bundesliga side, Bayern Leverkusen, has been a long target for the Black Stars because he is eligible to play for the West African country through his parents since he made his three senior England caps before turning 21.
Odoi, 22, is expected to explain his decision to ignore coach Otto Addo advances in a soon-to-be-released statement as the Black Stars continue preparations for the global showpiece.
Ghana announced their initial 55-man squad with the Chelsea man missing after he refused to complete paperwork which could have made him eligible to represent Ghana in Qatar.
The West African nation also failed to convince Arsenal prodigy, Eddie Nketiah, to switch nationality, but were able to convince Athletic Club’s striker, Inaki Williams and Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey to join their World Cup party.
