The Labour Party chieftain believes Tinubu is unfit to rule Nigeria.
Nigerian professor, politician, and economist, Pat Utomi, has challenged the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to go public with his health status in other to prove that he is in a good health condition to rule the country if he emerges president in the 2023 presidential election.
The Labour Party chieftain asked the former Lagos State governor to go for a medical checkup and display the result in public. Professor Pat Utomi made his views known on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, September 26, 2022, insisting that Tinubu is unfit to rule Nigeria.
“Our country has suffered so much from having ailing leaders. That was why the Vice President stepped up…American Presidents go through medicals that are made public. Let him (Tinubu) go for medicals with Nigerian doctors up in the hospital and make it public…It is the life of millions of people that we are dealing with.’’

The high profile economist also stated that APC got it wrong by fielding Tinubu instead of the country’s vice president, Professor Yemi Osibanjo, noting that Osibanjo would have been a better candidate for the presidency.
“The Vice President (Yemi) would have been a fit person. You can see he (Tinubu) is ailing. Common, let’s not kill ourselves, let’s be honest.’’

Labour Party’s Peter Obi has grown increasingly popular on and off social media and is widely accepted by Nigerians. Utomi believes the former Anambra State governor is the best presidential candidate ahead of the 2023 polls.
