Mbaka has warned the presidency to ensure a peaceful transition of power in 2023.
Popular Catholic Priest Rev. Fr. Mbaka has warned the federal government and the Department of State Services against the potential collapse of Nigeria if two things should happen.
Mbaka asserted that Nigeria will collapse if IPOB secessionist group leader Nnamdi Kanu gets hurt while in DSS custody. He said Kanu’s agitation for a sovereign Biafra is due to bad governance and those at the helm of affairs in Nigeria should be in custody for bad leadership.
The Reverend Father further said that Nigeria will collapse if President Buhari is succeeded by another Northerner.
Mbaka made this known in Enugu State while speaking in a sermon at his Adoration ground. According to him: “The issue of after Buhari, the North should lead again. President Buhari should better plan well and hand over to the South, but if the North wants to take over, this country will collapse.”
The outspoken religious cleric opined that Nigeria might not exist again if another Northerner becomes president in 2023.
“There may be no Nigeria again if the president, because of whatever, tries to hand over power back to the North. After Buhari, the Northerners should forget about leadership in this coming political era,” Mbaka said.
Mbaka warned that if “they try to make a Northerner the next President, disaster will happen, going forward will be impossible, going back will be a dream. Anyhow they want to do the political manoeuvering, they should make sure that justice prevails.”
The high profile cleric said his message was from the Holy Spirit.
“The Spirit of the Lord has asked me to say this because they have what it takes to plant a Northerner. Buhari should remember that Nigerians trusted him when he came in and he should remember that one day, he is leaving that place,” he added.
