World football governing body, FIFA, has published the list for the Best FIFA Football Awards 2020, which is scheduled to hold on December 17, 2020. FIFA in an official release on its website on Wednesday, November 25, disclosed that candidates for each category were selected by two expert panels for women and men’s football.
As expected, last year winner, Lionel Messi made the cut alongside his long term rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, though Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski is big favourite to clinch the award this time. Public voting has commenced and will end on December 9. FIFA will announce the final three for each of the seven categories by December 11, 2020.
